2 Sided Fireplace

This dining room has an entertaining area with a wet bar that can be concealed behind a sliding paneled pocket door. Double doors to the right of the fireplace lead into the kitchen and to the other side of this 2-sided fireplace. In these 2 construction photos, the photo on the right is showing the fireplace in the dining room and the photo below is on the family room side. The finished family room fireplace is shown below the construction photo.

This is the view from the Family Room where you can see through the 2-way fireplace ~ especially from the “before” photo which leads you into the dining room and living room area. The family room is open to the kitchen. The other side to this 2-way fireplace in the dining room is completely different and is framed in marble and built into a paneled entertaining area complete with a concealed wet bar.

Custom Built Home

New home construction can be a very challenging project! When working with a reputable builder and many skilled trades, Katherine Joy Interiors connects the needs of the clients with the design process creating their dream home. By being involved in this entire design process and selecting all of the materials and elements for each and every detail of this home, we were able to meet with all of the family’s needs. Hardwood floors flow from the main floor up to the 2nd floor landing where a large skylight shines daylight back through the framed rod iron opening to the mosaic stone inlay in the wood floor below.

Home Gym & Bath

Hockey is a favorite Canadian sport, whoever your team is!
Canucks rule this roost as a large scale hand-painted logo is proudly displayed in the Home Gym.

This flooring looks like luxurious wood, but it is a durable vinyl exceptional for home gyms.
The strip vinyl flooring resembles the dark stained wood accented throughout the basement.

A built-in storage cabinet across from the vanity holds towels and linens for the guest room.
Travertine tiled walls and mosaic border tiles surround and accent this gorgeous free-standing vanity and oversized shower area.

The heated travertine floor may seem like a luxury, but it also saves on heating the room.
